On July 8th, we welcomed Geoffroy ROUX DE BÉZIEUX, President of the Alliance des Patronats Francophones (APF) and former President of Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF), on his first visit to Cambodia and accompanied by Alexandre PLANELLES, General Director at APF, who is a returning visitor.

The Alliance des Patronats Francophones is an international association that brings together 35 French-speaking organizations from across five continents. Its core mission is to foster synergies between the private sector and to remove regulatory barriers to promote trade and economic exchanges within French-speaking countries.

The delegation’s visit to Cambodia was a significant milestone. Soreasmey KE BIN, CEO and Founder of Confluences, played a crucial role in coordinating and supporting the APF delegation throughout their mission in Cambodia. With his assistance, the APF delegation engaged in high-level discussions with Cambodia’s prominent leaders, including representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Council for the Development of Cambodia, the Ministry of Commerce, and The Royal Group of Cambodia.

The visit featured several missions, one of which was participating in the France Cambodia Business Forum held from July 8-10. During the forum, the APF delegation, led by Cyril GIROT, Chairman of CCI France Cambodge, engaged in productive discussions with Cambodian authorities and business leaders. This event provided a chance for Geoffroy, Alexandre, and key representatives from both countries to share ideas and viewpoints.

A highlight of their visit was the opportunity to meet with Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his strong support for Cambodia’s active role in advancing the economic development of French-speaking countries as the Kingdom prepares for the 2026 Sommet de la Francophonie.

Cambodia's official entry into the APF through the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cambodia (CCIFC), highlights new growth opportunities in the Cambodian market for French-speaking investors.  

The success of the visit reflects our ongoing commitment in being the catalyst for foreign business ventures and expanding Cambodia’s influence on the global stage. We look forward to continuing our role as a bridge between French and Cambodian businesses and exploring more opportunities for both communities.
