In May, Confluences organized the first on-the-ground meetings in Cambodia for leading French grandstand and bleacher designer and manufacturer, Alcor Équipements. These meetings aim at identifying grandstand prospects, such as sports stadiums, circuses or zoos, and schools, with a focus on the Cambodian market for both removable steel stands and bleachers.
Alcor Équipement is an industry leader in modular grandstand seating (self-locking solutions) that designs its products and installs more than 250,000 seats a year. With an in-house design team producing individual solutions on a project-by-project basis to ensure that they respect clients' specific requirements.
Mr. Eric Leport, President of Alcor Équipements, visited Cambodia from the 2-9 of May for a mix of physical and online B2B meetings. Spearheaded by Ponika Thai (Market Access Analyst from our Access Team), she helped to arrange approximately a dozen meetings in both Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. The latter was significant as it was the first market access mission with our team in Siem Reap, led by Chris Varin (Siem Reap Branch Manager).
In total, we identified as many as 40 potential prospects, each in various stages of discussions. Notably, a handful of meetings have proven successful, particularly with the Siem Reap meetings showing promising outcomes as we make significant progress with prospective clients. Through targeted communication and personalized engagement, we aim to solidify these prospects into long-term partnerships and drive growth in the Cambodian market.
