November was a very busy month for all Confluenceurs, with our teams participating across several events.
Firstly, Dara, our Business Development and MarCom manager, as well as our CEO Soreasmey, and Borarangsey from the Access Department, were present at the ASEAN summit which was held at the beginning of the month and carried the theme "Addressing Challenges Together". Several leaders, investors, and influential personalities from around the world flocked to Phnom Penh for this occasion, which allowed Confluences to meet new prospects and strengthen existing partnerships with companies in the region.
Secondly, the Ventures team was asked to take part in the Cambodia Tech Expo which took place on Koh Pich from November 11-13. Dara and Selim were able to exchange ideas with several major players in the tech sector in Cambodia that will materialise, we hope, into partnerships in the near future.
Some of our staff also visited Menard during the Cambuild Expo where they had a booth at the largest exhibition dedicated to building, construction and mechanical industry in the Kingdom. Menard has been one of Confluences' resident companies since moving to the Kingdom in 2019, allowing them to effectively coordinate work throughout the country. We have assisted them with market access analysis, business development assistance, as well as expatriate umbrella company’s.
Finally, Confluences was also pleased to have taken part in the French market with Malongo and its new recruit as Business Development Manager. This event, co-organised by the CCIFC and the French Embassy, gathered more than 5,500 participants and Malongo sold about a hundred single coffees and several kilos of coffee beans at the market!
