Soreasmey KE BIN, CEO and Founder of Confluences, participated in two prominent events in France in July 2024, focused on strengthening our global connections and exploring potential opportunities in Cambodia’s rapidly expanding market.

Open de L’International 2024 (BCI – Bretagne Commerce International)

On July 1st, he participated for the first time in the Open de L’International 2024, which took place at the Couvent des Jacobins in Rennes. Organised by Bretagne Commerce International (BCI), this annual event serves as an international business-partnering forum for Breton industries looking for international expansion.

During the event, our CEO served as a spokesperson for Cambodia and led a workshop titled “Cambodia: A Market of Rapid Growth, Openness, and Francophile.” At his session, more than 50 Breton companies received insights into Cambodia’s numerous market potential and growth opportunities.

This participation was an important development for increasing Cambodia’s visibility on the global stage and exploring new business opportunities. It allowed us to engage with 80 BCI-certified service providers from more than 50 countries and interact with over 40 support organizations at the regional, national, and international level.

The 12th edition of the Open de L’International attracted around 1,100 participants. The event featured various activities, including briefings, best practice exchanges, B2B meetings between 600 national and regional partners, 34 workshops and themed conferences, and networking sessions with the BCI general assembly.

As a longstanding partner of the Brittany region, Confluences remains committed to advancing collaborative opportunities between Breton and Cambodian enterprises. To learn more about Bretagne Commerce International, you can visit their official website (click here).

L’Université d’Été de l’Internationalisation des Entreprises (UEIE)

From July 4-5, our CEO participated in the L’Université d’Été de l’Internationalisation des Entreprises (UEIE) 2024, held at the Aix-en-Provence, France. He also attended the OSCI General Assembly alongside our partners from Banque Publique d'Investissement France (BPI France).

This year marked the third time that Confluences participated in the UEIE, a prominent annual forum co-organized by OSCI - The Accelerators for International Development. The event aims to support French companies in their international development efforts by fostering dialogues between the academic and business communities across public and private sectors.

During the forum, our CEO represented Cambodia and co-hosted a workshop on ASEAN market risks and opportunities with market experts from China and India. Amongst four other plenary conferences, this workshop covered topics such as strengthening regional trade, shifts in international value chains, supply risks from China and Taiwan, accelerating growth in India and ASEAN, and increased imports due to China’s deflation and low demand.

The workshop provided valuable insights into the ASEAN market, addressing the challenges and opportunities for businesses aiming to expand into the region. This session was part of a broader initiative to support French companies in their international growth and to promote the development of strategic partnerships.
