As we recently updated you, Immersive Angkor, the very first 3D immersive museum project dedicated to the history of Khmer civilization, continues to move forward and has welcomed a (as of yet undisclosed) third player as a strategic and financial partner, thus completing the team already in place. These are Iconem (the technological founding partner) and Confluences (operational founding partner).
This ambitious project does not stop here. This is now a regional project with a head office in Hong Kong, under a new entity that we will unveil soon. In addition, the fundraising is now completed and together with a regional partner, an amount of over $1 million USD has been secured!
Initially announced to launch at the end of 2021, the launch of the museum has been postponed to the second half of 2022 in conjunction with the estimated recovery of regional and international tourism. This postponement is due to the current impact of COVID-19.
This first "Immersive Angkor" museum will be located in Siem Reap, at the gateway to the famous archaeological park. We anticipate other exciting projects may follow in the region.
The official presentation to the International Coordinating Committee (ICC) will be made in December 2021. More information will be announced over the coming months!
