As we have written previously, Confluences Business Development Manager, Ms. Dara N. VAN ventured to France in July to participate in the “11th edition of the OPEN de l’international” and the “5th edition of the L’Université d’Été de l’Internationalisation des Entreprises (UEIE).”

The “11th edition of the "OPEN de l’international” was held in St Brieuc. This is an international fair organised by our partner BCI (Bretagne Commerce International  Brittany international trade agency). Being present meant it was an opportunity for reunions and new encounters as there were 1,000 participants, with nearly 70 BCI-approved service producers from 50 countries present. Confluences has been the Cambodian partner of the Brittany region for more than 7 years, and we have successfully worked with several companies from this region, but it was the first time we attended the event.

Ms. N. VAN also participated in the UEIE in Marseille, France, and the theme for this event was “International Trade: The Carbon Challenge.” 200 participants joined for two days at this crucial gathering of all stakeholders from the export and international business community in France, which comprised both public entities and specialised private companies. It was the second time Confluences has attended UEIE. 

Both events represented a great opportunity for our team to meet existing partners and forge new relationships, which could lead to more French companies entering the Cambodian market and neighbouring countries in the near future.
