This July, Confluences organized a series of impactful B2B meetings for Society and Fred, a leading consulting firm in destination marketing and economic development. Frédéric TAMBON, the Founder and President of Society and Fred, visited Cambodia to explore opportunities to contribute to the development of the country’s tourism industry.  

Society and Fred also specialize in territorial engineering, professional coaching, and marketing. Their unique focus on creativity, human-centered solutions, and collaborative knowledge-sharing sets them apart in the industry.

A significant aspect of Frédéric’s visit was attending the France Cambodia Business Forum held from July 8 to 10. This forum represented an important opportunity for him to expand his network and connect with key figures from both countries.  

On July 11th, he served as a keynote speaker at the Cambodia Branding Forum, focusing on the topic of tourism, a field in which he has significant experience. He engaged in discussions with potential stakeholders, and we supported him by arranging meetings with attending partners and those who were not present at the forum.  

His first mission to Cambodia, was coordinated with the help of our Access and Operations team. Ponika THAI, our Market Access Analyst, facilitated discussions in Phnom Penh. Chris VARIN, our Siem Reap Branch Manager, organized meetings with the Deputy Governor of Siem Reap Province and other tourism sector leaders. These discussions focused on the development of tourism strategies for Cambodia and the Siem Reap region.

With over 30 years of experience in development agencies and educational institutions, Frédéric has led numerous projects in tourism, territorial strategies, education, marketing, and sports. With his expertise and strong international background, he is set to make a meaningful contribution to the development of Cambodia’s tourism industry.
