Looking back at The Francophone Economic and Trade Mission to Asia-Pacific held in Cambodia.
Confluences was delighted to have contributed to the smooth running of the MECA (Mission Economique et Commerciale Francophone en Asie-Pacifique) event which was held in Phnom Penh.
Officially commissioned by the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie in support of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, our teams were in charge of organising all of the B2B meetings for this event, 288 in total. These aimed to put companies from French-speaking countries in contact with companies established in the Kingdom. The idea was to group them by sector of activity in order to create business opportunities.
Around 40 companies from the French-speaking world, spread over several continents, are currently in Cambodia - alongside more than 30 companies already established in the country who have joined forces to highlight the economic and commercial opportunities that the country offers.
This is a first for both the "Business" Francophonie and for the Kingdom of Cambodia, which is the most active member of the Francophonie in Asia. This mission is based in particular on the growth sectors of agro-industry, renewable energies, digital goods & services, and was structured around economic forums, B2B meetings, meetings between trade promotion agencies, and company visits.
