Soreasmey Ke Bin's trip to France was an opportunity for the Immersive Angkor team to meet for the first time in person since the start of the project.
Our CEO was able to meet Leva Bogušaitė (a Lithuanian architect from Iconem), and Axel Peyriere (Confluences Ventures partner) after three years of long distance discussions - the last time was in Phnom Penh while he was organising one of his Startup&Angels events. Since then, Axel has moved from Australia to Dubai and onto Africa. And finally with Yves Ubelmann (President and co-founder of Iconem) who Soreasmey last met in March 2022 in Siem Reap when he presented the Immersive Angkor project to the Royal Government of Cambodia and the International Coordination Committee (ICC).
For two years, the team has worked on the development of this project, mainly through online meetings with partners located in Cambodia, France, but also in Shanghai (China), and Australia.
Many of the partners of this great project are absent from this picture but the project is progressing rapidly and we hope that the team will soon be able to all meet together!
As a reminder, Immersive Angkor is the very first 3D immersive museum project dedicated to the history of Khmer civilization and will be based in Siem Reap.
In the meantime, stay tuned, as more information on Immersive Angkor will be revealed in the coming weeks.
