The sustainable sporting goods brand Yekowave, a resident company at Confluences for more than one year, launched its second collection made in Cambodia on the 24th of July, adding new designs and colours to their Fitness/Yoga brand.
Like the first collection, the products are made up of recycled materials from damaged fishing nets and from discarded or used nylon cloth.
To celebrate the launch, the Yekowave team organised a pop-up shop and several training sessions through a partnership with its local distributor Enso Healing. This was held in accordance with the current health regulations, allowing its community to meet up and to practice their hobbies!
The Yekowave products - functional and trendy - are now available in France on evaanmarket.com, a platform promoting products from Cambodia and Southeast Asia.
“The launch of online shopping in France is the first step towards our development abroad" - declared Dhikra Yagoubi, founder of the sporting goods brand.
The development in France and in Europe is one of the goals of the brand, and they intend to expand both online shopping and retail shopping through a network of partner sport stores. The team also intends to export its concept, pioneered in Phnom Penh, to multi-sport events internationally.
The Yekowave team strongly believes that Cambodia, for which garment manufacturing is crucial since it represents 80% of the country’s exports, can have a pivotal role in positioning itself as a leader in sustainable clothing.
